PRIMARY RESULTS EXPECTED TO BE GIVEN PRELIMINARY CERTIFICATION TODAY

The results of last month’s primary are expected to be given preliminary certification today. The Trib reports that one result of the election is a write-in candidate for the State House 55th district seat as New Kensington Restaurant Cook Davon Magwood has won the nomination of the Democratic party, receiving 354 write in votes,. He will face incumbent Republican Jill Cooper for the seat in the general election.
