TORNADO TOUCHES DOWN IN FINLEYVILLE

While strong storms continued to hit the area on Saturday, no tornadoes touched down in Westmoreland County. The Trib reports that the national weather service did confirm that an EF2 tornado touched down shortly after 6:00 PM in nearby Finleyville in Washington County. A nearby church was damaged while services were in progress by the storm and a related storm brought hail to Westmoreland County. Peak wind of the tornado was estimated at 118 mph, and its path length was 5.9 miles, according to NWS. The agency reported two injuries it classified as minor.
