Officials are taking steps to improve security at Jeannette Junior/Senior High School. Earlier this week, school directors approved a contract with Safe Haven Defense to install some forced entry resistant film to doors and windows at the property. The cost of the project is 38-thousand dollars but 30-thousand of it is being covered by a state grant. District Superintendent Matt Jones says the film could help slow down someone who is trying to get into the school to harm students.
