No one was hurt when high winds blew down the canopy covering the gas pumps at the Sunoco on Haymaker Road in Monroeville last night.
The incident occurred about 5:30. Two cars were underneath the canopy when it came down, and a man and a woman were luckily able to escape.
Employees inside the station immediately shut off power to the gas pumps, so there was no spill.
Wind gusts as high as 50 miles per hour were reported at the time.
