A Hempfield man has announced his intent to run for a county commissioner seat.
The Tribune-Review reports that 61-year-old John Venture has declared his intent to run for commissioner. He said his candidacy will focus on the county’s finances and he criticized current office holders for what he believed was poor oversight by the current commissioners.
Venture is the third Republican to announce he is seeking a commissioners seat.
