Latrobe residents will see an increase in their quarterly garbage collection bills.
The Tribune-Review reports that at last night’s city council meeting, the council voted to accept the increase in the rates from Republic Services of $15, which is roughly a 26 percent increase in the fees. This is part of a five-year contract between the city and the refuse hauler.
For those who use bags, the quarterly rate will be $66, and if you use a wheeled “toter” container, the fee will go to $81.
