Testimony got underway yesterday in a case of attempted murder and conspiracy for a shooting on a Monessen street.
The Tribune-Review reports that Westmoreland County Judge Christopher Feliciani refused to grant a mistrial or dismiss the charges against 29-year-old Joseph Heath and 23-year-old Rashawn Ford, who face charges connected with the June 2017 shooting of Timothy “Boo” Kershaw.
Defense lawyers said that prosecutors failed to disclose evidence of an aborted plea bargain agreement with Kershaw, who police claim identified Heath and Ford as the principal people in the non-fatal shooting.
