Latrobe’s emergency responders saw an uptick in the number of calls in 2018.
The Tribune-Review reports that firefighters responded to 1,018 calls in 2018, which is the second highest number of calls in the fire department’s history. The department had responded to 1,101 calls in 2004.
Fire Chief John Brasile said that severe weather caused the increase in the number of calls.
