Police are looking for a pair of thieves who are posing as utility workers to try to access people’s homes.
KDKA-TV reports that the men were spotted in Mount Pleasant. The scammers are going door-to-door, with one person talking to the person who answers the door, and distracting them while another person will go through the house and rob them. Similar scams have been spotted in Connellsville and Scottdale.
Police say that the two are travelling in a gray SUV, possibly a Kia or Subaru. Police are asking people to be wary to potential scams, and if someone doesn’t have proper identification, don’t let them in.
