An arrest has been made in connection with the disappearance of 46-year-old Heather Short of Dravosburg, whose remains were found in Sewickley Township.
WTAE-TV reports that Short’s remains were found Wednesday in a wooded area along Scott Haven Road. Detectives believe that she was strangled in a home in West Mifflin and her body dumped in the wooded area.
Short was missing since November of last year. Her remains were returned to Allegheny County for a post-mortem examination.
36-year-old Dale Cooper was arrested Wednesday and charged with criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse and other crimes.
