A State Trooper from the Greensburg Barracks was suspended without pay after he was arrested and charged with threatening his wife with a handgun.
The Tribune-Review reports that 32-year-old Scott Mang of Plum was watching a football game and drinking alcohol with his wife at their home, but later that evening, Mang broke down a door to the bathroom while his wife Danielle was in it. She then fled to the bedroom and locked the door, threatening to call 911. Scott would break that door down as well and take the phone from her. He then took a handgun from the nightstand and threatened to kill both of them if she called police. She eventually made her way to a home across the street to call 911.
Mang is being held in the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh and is awaiting a preliminary hearing on January 30th.
