Penn Township’s department of public works is requesting that drivers avoid using Paintertown Road as part of the street now has a large crack in it from ground subsidence.
KDKA-TV reports that the crack runs several feet along the southbound lane of Paintertown Rbetween, Route 130 and Simpson Road. Concrete barriers will be installed by PennDOT along with temporary stop signs at each end of the sinking area.
No word yet on when that portion of the road will reopen.
