Indiana Regional Medical Center and the Indiana Registered Nurses Association will meet for negotiations tonight, with announcements coming over the weekend that the hospital presented what they called its “Last, Best and Final” offer.
On Saturday, it was announced that the offer was for three years and, according to IRMC, included a 6.5 percent wage increase over the three years of the contract, and nurses would contribute the same premiums for health insurance coverage as all other IRMC employees as of April 1st.
The Nurses Union called the offer disappointing as they feel the insurance cost increases would take too much out of the nurses’ take home pay.
