Weather tops our news this morning, as while we are seeing warm conditions right now, it’s going to get bitter cold quickly.
Temperatures are expected to fall to a low of six tonight, and they won’t get any warmer tomorrow. The National Weather Service predicts a high of 8, but with the wind gusting between 13 and 20 miles an hour, it will feel like it’s -18 at certain points. The National Weather Service has put a wind chill advisory in place from early Wednesday Morning to early Thursday morning.
In the meantime, some warming shelters will be open, including the welcome home shelter for women and families on Maple Avenue in Greensburg and the Union Mission Men’s Shelter on Harrison Avenue in Latrobe. They will be open from 8PM to 8AM until the end of March any night the temperature displays 25 degrees.
