In the meantime, more warming centers have opened up. Here’s the list of warming centers that are open during the daytime hours:
The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army in New Kensington is open from 3-7 Today through Friday
The Allegheny Township Building in Leechburg from 9-5
The Murrysville Alliance Church on an as-needed basis
Lower Burrell Fire Hall from 8 AM to 7 PM
The Monessen Salvation Army from 9-5
The Monessen Civic Center will be open 24 hours.
Also the Welcome Home Shelter for women and families in Greensburg and the Union Mission Men’s Shelter in Latrobe will continue to be open from 8 PM to 8 AM any night the temperature dips below 25 degrees until the end of March.
