A Youngwood woman accused of assaulting her mother has rejected a plea deal and will head to court for trial.
The Tribune-Review reports that 42-year-old Delores Amorino is currently in custody. She and her then-17-year-old daughter Sarah face charges connected with an incident in August of 2017. Police say the two were in an argument with Delores’ 77-year-old mother over the volume of the Steelers game on TV, and when the elderly woman went to her room to listen to the game on radio, the younger women broke down the door and assaulted her.
The plea bargain Delores rejected would have sent her to prison for a maximum of four years, with her being eligible for parole in twp years.
No word yet on when the trial will take place.
