All Commonwealth flags are flying at half-staff this week to honor a DCNR official and fire chief from Dauphin County. Governor Josh Shapiro issued the order yesterday in memory of David Warfel, who died of natural causes last week at a wildland fire training academy in Cumberland County. Warfel served as Forest Supervisor and Fire Warden for the department and was the Chief of the Carsonville Volunteer Fire Company. Flags will remain at half-staff until Friday at sunset.
