Two men from New York pleaded guilty in court for trying to swindle an elderly Unity woman while posing as delivery men who offered a $5 million lottery award. The Trib reports that 26-year-old Floyd Forrest and 22-year-old Reheem Anderson each entered a plea to one count of felony theft and a count related to a high-speed chase after an undercover sting exposed their scam. The victim was told she won a car and $5 million from Publisher’s Clearing House, but later received a fake $30,000 and asked to deposit it and take out $9500 to pay the taxes on her winnings. The two were sentenced to two to 23 months in prison and a year of probation, but the two will be paroled once New York officials agree to assume their supervision.
