Irwin borough council has awarded around $1.1 million in contracts for the remodeling of a 114-year-old building on Main Street. The Trib reports that on Wednesday, five construction contracts and an asbestos abatement contract to convert the former Rosendahl’s Appliance Center storefront into a government office that would house the police and administration offices. While the construction schedule is described as “aggressive”, there is no word on when the project would be finished.
