JEANNETTE’S REVITALIZATION PROJECTS COULD BE ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY PRESIDENT TRUMP’S SPENDING PLAN

Jeannette city officials say that if federal Community Development Block Grant funds are eliminated by President Donald Trump’s spending plan before the U.S. Senate, the city’s revitalization projects could be adversely affected.  The Trib reports that over the last three years, the city received a combined $928,000.  Over the last few years, many projects in Jeannette ranging from sidewalk improvements to blight-related demolition have been funded through the CDBG funds.
