Greater Latrobe School Board is looking to cut its elementary Spanish instruction program in an effort to lower the tax burden on taxpayers. The Trib reports at tonight’s meeting, the board will finalize its $68.4 million budget that contains a $683,130 spending gap. A recommendation was to increase taxes by two mills, but many board members say if they increase taxes, it should be less than that, and eliminating that program would help with the process.
