JEANNETTE CITY COUNCIL PLANS TO REDUCE THE SIZE OF REC BOARD

The Jeannette City Council is planning to reduce the size of the community’s recreation board.  Members voted in favor an ordinance to take the panel from seven down to five members during their meeting last week.  Councilman Chad Krawtz says they have not been able to find enough volunteers to get the board to seven members since it was established in 2023.  The measure authorizing the reduction will have to be voted on again before it is made official.
