SENATOR MCCORMICK SHARES SUPPORT FOR U.S. STEEL AND NIPPON STEEL MERGER

Pennsylvania Senator Dave McCormick is sharing his support for the merger between U.S. Steel and Japan’s Nippon Steel.  President Trump has been at the center of the talks, saying he is securing majority American ownership as part of the deal.  Senator McCormick claims the arrangement will keep the U.S. Steel headquarters in Pittsburgh and will secure at least four-thousand ongoing jobs in the region.  Leaders with the United Steelworkers union have been skeptical of the sale, saying they want more specific details on what is included in the agreement.
