A judge has denied Thomas Stanko’s appeal in the Unity Cemetery case.
The Tribune-Review reports that Stanko was in court to appeal the two-to-four year prison sentence that was handed down last year for simple assaults against mourners who gathered next to his home in 2015. Stanko has been in jail since April, when he was charged with several crimes that came to light after Cassandra Gross turned up missing. Gross’ family has suggested that he has something to do with her disappearance, which he has denied. Gross was declared legally dead last week.
No questions were asked yesterday concerning the Gross case, but he still faces charges based on allegations he had possession of a stolen ATV, violating a drunk-driving sentence, and other crimes.
