TODAY IS JUNETEENTH

Today is Juneteenth, which commemorates the day in 1865 when enslaved African Americans in Texas learned they were freed due to the Emancipation Proclamation.  Federal and State offices are closed today, but county offices and courts will be open today.  For municipal offices, call them before you head out to see if they are open.  Most national banks are closed for the day.  There will be no regular mail delivery today and post offices will be closed.
