An investigation is underway after a large amount of copper was stolen from a West Penn Power substation in Westmoreland County. The incident happened at the substation on Hickory Avenue in Derry Township last week. Authorities say about four-thousand feet of copper and brass fittings were stolen, which had an estimated value of more than 50-thousand-dollars. No arrests or suspects have been announced.
