Commissioners in Westmoreland County are expected to approve funding aimed at helping to improve high-speed internet access for low-income residents. A vote on a proposed digital technology grant program is slated for today. Local leaders are also likely to award three 15-thousand-dollar grants to agencies that will provide laptops for public use. Those agencies are the Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, the Westmoreland County YWCA, and Westmoreland Community Action.
