A Greensburg man charged with a hit-and-run crash in 2023 had his sentence modified on Thursday. The Trib reports that 46-year-old Christopher Degnan was ordered to spend 20 months of probation and 90 days of house arrest He was arrested months after police said he hit a then-76-year-old woman while she was crossing South Main Street in Greensburg using a wheeled walker on Dec. 28, 2023. The victim suffered multiple injuries in the collision. Assistant District Attorney Anthony Iannamorelli said during Thursday’s hearing that the sentence needed to be modified because Degnan was subject to a mandatory 90 days of imprisonment. He was credited with 73 days served, so home electronic monitoring will resume for 17 days, Judge Michael Stewart II ordered.
