CITY OF ARNOLD SOLICITOR ASKING RESIDENTS TO PETITION TO FILL CONTROLLER VACANCY

The City of Arnold’s solicitor is asking area residents to petition the Westmoreland County Court of Common Pleas to fill the vacancy for city controller.  The Trib reports that the city has been without a controller since Toni Montemurro resigned January 31st.  Council was unable to fill the position within 30 days of her retirement, so now the statute requires 10 interested registered voters to petition the court to fill the vacancy.
