County commissioners said yesterday that they will support changes to a land development ordinance expected to encourage residential and land development. The Trib reports that a formal vote on the changes will be on July 31st. Among them, the fees paid by developers and property owners for the county to review plans will increase from $50 for major subdivisions to $200 and from $150 for land development to $300.The new ordinance applies to 33 of the county’s smaller municipalities that don’t have their own guidelines, including Arnold, Jeannette, Derry Township and Penn Borough.
