A man who was found guilty of raping a girl from Delmont will serve 20 to 40 years in state prison.
The Tribune-Review reports 51-year-old Bryan Harold of Saltsburg was sentenced in connection with a conviction last May on 13 counts including rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault and other related offenses. The charges go back to 2011, when the victim was 10 years old. Harold’s defense attorney had argued that the victim made up the story and it could not be proven.
Harold was also ordered to register as a Meghan’s Law offender for the rest of his life once he is released from prison.
