More money for schools, better worker training and new voting machines are all part of Governor Tom Wolf’s budget proposal.
The governor spelled out the requests in his annual budget address before the legislature. Training to bolster the skills of the state’s workforce is the centerpiece of the governor’s plan.
No tax increase was called for in the $34,000,000,000 budget, but the governor is once again asking for a tax on natural gas extracted from gas wells in the state.
