High winds Tuesday morning caused considerable damage to the roof of the Derry Post Office.
The Tribune-Review reports that the roof started to buckle around 9:42 AM when the strong winds came through the area as part of the cold winter weather yesterday. The post office was closed for the day and they are expected to remain closed for the immediate future.
A few customers were inside at the time, but no one was injured. PO Box and mailing services were moved to the post office in New Derry, which is offering expanded hours to help out. They will be open from 8-4 Monday through Friday, and 8 to noon on Saturday.
