The man who led several Westmoreland County Police Departments on a chase between Jeannette and Penn Township has been charged with 10 more criminal and traffic-related offenses.
The Tribune-Review reports that Thomas Campbell of Jeannette fled police last Wednesday after they tried to question him about some recent thefts. He dropped several of his belongings and ran, and that included a backpack that had some kittens in it.
After crashing his car, Campbell tried to hide under a mobile home, but a K-9 officer was able to find him.
Along with the charges originally filed against him, Penn Township police filed multiple counts related to the incident, and that included illegally entering an unoccupied structure. He also faces animal cruelty, fleeing and eluding, and other charges related to the incident.
