A former Westmoreland County sheriff’s deputy is now accused of asking a 15-year-old girl and her juvenile friend for sex through text messages.
The Tribune-Review reports that 38-year-old Bobby Neiderhiser of Mt. Pleasant Township faces a charge of corruption of minors for the alleged text messages. He resigned his position on Friday.
Neiderhiser allegedly sent the texts to a 15-year-old victim, offering alcohol in exchange for sexual acts involving her and a 16-year-old friend. The 15-year-old’s mother found the texts and reported it to police.
Neiderhiser waived his preliminary hearing and is free on $25,000 unsecured bond.
