Last night, Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman came to the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center to hold a listening session concerning the legalization of marijuana.
Fetterman has been on a tour of all 67 counties gathering opinions. The Tribune-Review reports that many different opinions on why marijuana should be legalized or why it shouldn’t be were presented, ranging from health benefits vs health risks and a safer alternative to opioids vs being a gateway to harder drugs.
Fetterman had an informal poll at the end of the meeting asking who was in favor of legalizing marijuana, and the majority of those who raised their hands supported the legalization.
Fetterman will move on to Penn State Fayette for his next stop.
