The Humane Society of Westmoreland County is looking for donations after they brought in 14 cats and two dogs after the animals were rescued from a van in a hotel parking lot in Allegheny County on Monday.
According to a post to the Humane Society’s Facebook page, the van had traveled from Florida to Allegheny County, and while the people stayed at the Comfort Inn in O’Hara Township, they kept the animals in the cold van. The animals were rescued by Hoffman Kennels and were turned over at that point to the Humane Society.
One cat was found dead by investigators, but the rest were rescued. They will all be eventually put up for adoption.
