With the end of winter approaching, road crews are getting ready to start patching potholes.
The Tribune-Review reports that PennDOT District 12 and Westmoreland County’s Public Works Department are gearing up for pothole patching season. The current weather has not been cooperative as it’s been too cold to do some cold patching, but as soon as temperatures warm up, crews will be out with cold patch filing potholes. Hot patching should start around April 1st when warm temperatures are more common.
Potholes can be reported to PennDOT by calling 1-800-FIX-ROAD.
