A Hempfield woman charged with sending a video that depicts a woman having sex with a five-year-old boy is now released from prison.
The Tribune-Review reports that on Friday, Judge Christopher Feliciani ordered Amanda Smith to be released on nominal bond as she awaits trial next month. Smith had been in custody since last summer when she was arrested on charges of distributing and possession of child pornography. Police say that Smith’s current boyfriend forced an ex-girlfriend to be recorded having sex with the child. That woman and the boyfriend are in jail without bond.
She remains in custody until she finds another place to live. Once released, she will be on house arrest and is not allowed to have contact with her two co-defendants or any children.
