The prosecution has rested its case in the second-degree murder trial of Colin Gearhart.
The Tribune-Review reports that Detective Ray Pupilka testified yesterday, and told the jury that Gearhart definitely knew of the plot to rob a Pittsburgh-area drug dealer as an act of revenge, but did nothing to stop it, even though Gearhart claimed he sent a Facebok instant message to Austin Krinock, one of the other two involved in the robbery.
The incident claimed the life of Daniel McNerny, who had intervened to stop the robbery, but was killed instead.
The defense will start stating its case today.
