A man charged with killing someone in a vehicle-and-pedestrian collision on Christmas Eve in 2016 did not take the stand in his own defense yesterday.
The Tribune-Review reports that the jury in the Matthew Ramsay trial heard about an hour of recording of the police interrogation of Ramsay, who police say killed 49-year-old Joseph Cummins in the accident. During interrogations, Ramsay said he thought he hit something, but when he went back he saw no blood and no body.
Police say that he was intentionally swerving all over the road and was under the influence of several drugs at the time.
The jury will start deliberations today.
