
The Penn Township boy who inspired Rocco’s Warriors has passed away.
According to the Tribune-Review, two-year-old Rocco Monteleone passed away on Sunday. The obituary notice said that he was diagnosed with Leukemia on December 30th and was being treated at UPMC Children’s. Neighbors and community members created Rocco’s Warriors to raise money to help the family through his illness.
The family is asking memorial contributions to be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Pittsburgh and to the Humane Society of Westmoreland County.
