A bar and restaurant has been ordered by a county judge to vacate their location behind the Westmoreland Mall because they owe the mall over $90,000 in rent and costs.
The Tribune-Review reports that Winghart’s Burger, Beer and Whiskey Bar must leave their current location as soon as possible. Attorneys representing Winghart’s did not comment. The reason that Winghart’s withheld paying rent was because they believed mall owner CBL/Westmoreland L.P. breached its lease by failing to maintain and advertise the premises despite the restaurant paying what was called a “common areas and operating costs” fee.
No word yet if the restaurant owners will appeal.
