
The Vandergrift woman accused of killing her cousin will have her trial delayed.
The Tribune-Review reports that the trial of 35-year-old Ashley Croft will be delayed until June to allow time for a mental health evaluation of Croft at the request of her attorney. Police say that Croft confessed to shooting John Edward Small of Greensburg. Court records said she said she was under the influence of drugs at the time.
Judge Rita Hathaway ordered a status conference in August, when a trial date could be set.
