A Delmont family is willing to put his money behind the proposed new library.
The Tribune-Review reports that Bill Lendl and his family have offered a matching challenge for the construction of the new Delmont Public Library. The Lendl family will match dollar-for-dollar donations made to the building fund up to $50,000. As of today, the capital campaign for the library has raised over $1 million, with $400,000 left to begin construction of an eco-friendly building with solar panels, geothermal heating and rainwater collection.
This drive runs through the end of June and donations can be dropped off at the Library, or mailed to 77 Greensburg Street, Delmont, PA. You can also donate via Paypal online at www.delmontlibrary.org.
