
Lawyers for the now-21 year old woman who initiated cyber attacks that disrupted school and local government computers are saying that plea bargain negotiations are progressing.
The Tribune-Review reports that Michaela King, who was 18 at the time of the incident, is awaiting trial on felony charges of unlawful use of a computer or communications device. Police say that she uploaded a virus at the Franklin Regional High School that spread to several other schools and local government computers sharing the same system.
A status conference is set for June.
