While the Greensburg Community Development Corporation has asked developers for their best pitches for a downtown hotel, the extended deadline has passed and no proposals were submitted.
The Tribune-Review reports that while developers have been in contact with the corporation and were interested in bringing a hotel to the city, they did not respond to the request for proposals. The proposal request came after talks with an unidentified developer fell through last year.
The vacant building is owned by Anthony Bucciero, the president of Guardian Construction.
Representatives with the corporation are confident that a hotel project will “definitely” be announced this year.
