Officials in Export have shifted federal grant priorities to address a failing retaining wall.
The Tribune-Review reports that the wall is along McKinley Avenue. Borough council president Barry Delissio said that the county requested that they remove the paving program and submit the McKinley wall as their application for community development block grant funding. Last night, bids were opened for the project and they ranged from $170,000 to $190,000.
The borough engineer will look over the bids and once the contract is awarded, it will be submitted to county officials for payment through CDBG.
