Delmont residents could see a hike in their garbage bill.
The Tribune-Review reports that trash hauler Republic Services wants to add 74 cents to the bills for Delmont residents. Several council members have said that there are some ongoing issues that residents have approached them with about the regular trash hauling, and Borough Solicitor Dan Hewett is not sure the company has met the threshold required to raise prices by $8-$9 a year.
A formal, written request has been asked for from the company by Delmont council.
