The Pennsylvania Game Commission has moved the start of rifle deer season up to the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Traditionally, the first day of deer season would be the Monday after Thanksgiving, but the decision to move the start date up was made to allow more people to head out for the first day of the season.
The addition of a third Saturday to the season means that deer season will run for 13 days.
